Our Culture

What we believe

We believe Africa’s landscape is one of the most fascinating and special places on earth. Tanzania is known as the best destination for Authentic safaris. It is home to many national parks and conservation areas, including Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Two of the most famous and cherished parks in the world, are the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Nyerere National Park is the largest National Park in the world. And one of the most spectacular natural sights in the world – the annual great migration. Come experience the country’s beauty and diverse wildlife in their untouched, natural environment.

Our Founder's Message

I was born and raised in Tanzania, a country that has always been deeply part of who I am. At the age of 18, I moved to the Netherlands with my family. While I built my life there over more than 30 years — including 22 years working for KLM — I always knew that one day I would return home.

That moment came in 2019, when I moved back to Tanzania with my wife and daughter and settled in Arusha, the heart of the safari world. Returning felt like coming back to where I truly belong.

In 2022, I founded Travelsing East Africa. My goal was simple: to create authentic and unforgettable safari experiences, especially for Dutch travelers. Having lived in the Netherlands for so long, I understand the expectations, preferences, and way of traveling of Dutch guests — while at the same time being deeply connected to Tanzania’s culture, nature, and people.

This combination allows me to offer something unique: a safari experience that is both well-organized and truly authentic.

For me, this is more than a business. It is about sharing the beauty of Tanzania in a personal and meaningful way, and creating journeys that my guests will remember for a lifetime.

We include oxygen cylinders for all our climbs, and they are included in the climb cost, not as an additional expense.
06

Kilimanjaro Health Checks

Regular health checks on the mountain: our guides check two times a day on the well-being of each climbing participant to ensure their health and overall acclimatization progression. Guides use oximeters and stethoscopes to check for signs of altitude sickness. All our top guides to Mount Kilimanjaro are certified wilderness first responders. This is the highest qualification a mountain guide can get, and every one of our lead guides has earned this certificate. They know all the routes very well; they are well experienced in mountain medicine and know what to do in case of an emergency on the mountain.
