Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Huts

Elevation: 4,921 ft to 8,250 ft

Distance: 10 km

Hiking Time: 4 to 6 hours

Habitat: Rain Forest

Early in the morning we transfer to Momela Gate (1500m) to commence the climb, 4 to 6 hours walk gets you to Miriakamba Hut. Afternoon explores the Meru Crater. Dinner and Overnight at Mariakamba Hut.

Day 2: Miriakamba Huts to Saddle Huts

Elevation: 8,250 ft to 11,712 ft

Distance: 8 km

Hiking Time: 3 to 5 hours

Habitat: Heath

Climb to Saddle Hut which will take about 3-5 hours along the steep Saddle walls. Explore Little Meru (3820m), a 1to 2 hours climb in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Saddle Hut.

Day 3: Saddle Huts to Summit

Elevation: 11,712 ft to 14,977 ft

Distance: 5 km

Hiking Time: 4-6 hours

Habitat: Alpine Desert

Early in the morning ascends to the summit of Mount Meru (4566m) which will take about 5 hours and then return to Miriakamba Hut to overnight or descend to Momela Gate (7 hours).
