DAY 1: AIRPORT PLANET LODGE, ARUSHA  

Day Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport, after clearing customs and immigration formalities you will be met and transferred to Airport Planet Lodge for overnight on bed & breakfast basis.

DAY 2: OLPOPONGI MAASAI CULTURAL VILLAGE & MUSEUM, WEST KILIMANJARO        

Located to the north of Mount Meru in north eastern Tanzania, West Kilimanjaro is a concession south of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park. Wild, unspoilt and often overlooked in a clamour for the peak, this extraordinary destination is a wonderful place for private game viewing, hiking, night drives, horse safaris, and more.

After breakfast drive to West Kilimanjaro for a full day cultural tour, meals and overnight at Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village & Museum.

DAY 3: ESCARPMENT LUXURY LODGE, LAKE MANYARA AREA

After breakfast drive to Mto wa Mbu village near Lake Manyara for cultural tour, where you will have a guided tour, walking around the village to see the way of life of the local people.

Afternoon you will have a game drive at Lake Manyara National Park.

Mto Wa Mbu Village Walk

Mto Wa Mbu Village Walk takes guests on a journey to experience the traditional culture of the local people. Guests will visit the local farms, interact with kindergarten kids, speak to local inhabitants, and view the best deals in the market. A traditional lunch can be included in the journey and enjoyed at the local banana plantation.

Lake Manyara National Park

Situated in Tanzania’s central-northern region with the Lake Manyara to its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its west, the Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats supporting an array of wildlife. This small park is home to surprising biodiversity and features a magnificent landscape of acacia woodlands, forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself.

The park supports over 400 species of bird and the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. Other species to spot include giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, warthog, the Cape clawless otter, and the Egyptian mongoose. Overnight: Escarpment Luxury Lodge

DAY 4: KISIMA NGEDA CAMP, LAKE EYASI   

Day Itinerary

After breakfast drive to Lake Eyasi area, arrive for lunch at Kisima Ngeda Tented, afternoon visit the local people around.

Tucked between the Kidero Mountains in the south and the Eyasi Escarpment in the north, Lake Eyasi is situated in a remote, dry, arid landscape just south of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park. This seasonal lake features dry salt beds and is home to a variety of birdlife such as flamingos and pelicans. Beautiful surroundings of woodlands, forests, and ancient baobabs beckon to be explored, with numerous excellent walking trails.

Visitors can learn about local cultures by visiting the pastoralist Datoga people as well as the nomadic hunter-gatherer Hadzabe group. Other popular activities include bird watching, hiking, walking safaris, and soaking up the spectacular views. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the nearby enthralling Oldeani Mountain, the atmospheric swampy valley area of Yaeda, and the spectacular Serengeti.

Overnight: Kisima Ngeda Camp       

Set in a thick stand of doum palm and fever tree forest on a 100-hectare farm, Kisima Ngeda camp overlooks the seasonal lake Eyasi. An inviting natural spring boils out of the rocks just meters away from the mess area. To the back, a rocky granite hill forms a dramatic backdrop to the camp. Many come here to simply relax in a quiet, remote, and beautiful setting.

The Lodge: The main area is built with beautiful wooden floors and palm-thatch roofs. It consists of a Cozy Bar & lounge area with cushioned, bench-seated nooks, a perfect place to relax before dinner. The adjoining dining room is where meals are served, with an expansive view of the lake. Food is delicious and wholesome.

 The cuisine combines organic and seasonal produce from the best local producers with only essentials imported. All our meals are freshly prepared and homemade, including bread and ice cream. The chefs hail from the surrounding community and undergo training a few times a year to update their skills and inspire new menus.

Full day at Lake Eyasi visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, who are still living primitive way of life of hunting and gathering.

DAY 7: MBUZI MAWE SERENA CAMP, EASTERN SERENGETI

Day Itinerary

After breakfast drive Serengeti National Park, game drive en route with picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at Mbuzi Mawe Serena Tented Lodge.

The rich acacia-dotted plains of the Eastern Serengeti are home to abundant wildlife. Visitors flock here to view the world-renowned wildebeest migration. Some of the best game-viewing can be enjoyed from Lobo on the eastern edge of the Serengeti National Park along the Grumeti River.

Popular activities include: taking a guided walk through the spectacularly scenic terrain of the wild Serengeti, jumping on a hot air balloon safari, picnics in the bush, and learning about Maasai culture and history. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the world famous Gol Kopjes for the best cheetah viewing in Africa.

Overnight: Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp       Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp lies at the epicentre of the Serengeti within easy reach of the prime wildlife theatres of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River, the southern grass plains, the Seronera Valley and the kopjes, or inselbergs, Gol, Barafu, Maasai, Loliondo, Simba and Moru. 

Accommodation comprises 16 luxurious, very spacious tents, each with 24-hour generator electricity, constant hot water, ensuite bathroom, dressing area, two double four-poster beds and a veranda with a double sun bed. Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, meals and overnight at Mbuzi Mawe Serena Tented Lodge.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park form Africa’s most famous wildlife park.  The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Masai warrior and some cattle to the picture, and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. 

But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Serengeti plains has become almost essential, and you can even do a horse-riding safari.

DAY 9: THE PLANTATION LODGE, KARATU  

After breakfast drive to Karatu area game drive en route via Ngorongoro Conservation area.

Overnight: The Plantation Lodge     

The Plantation Lodge’s location offers maximum safari enjoyment to visitors. It is situated close to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Lake Manyara National Park, and just a short journey away from the Tarangire National Park and the Serengeti.

DAY 10: THE PLANTATION LODGE, KARATU            

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater a full day crater tour, picnic lunch will be served. Late afternoon drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Day 11: End of Itinerary   

Day Itinerary

Basis After breakfast drive to Arusha arrive for lunch, after lunch you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight back home.

Or After lunch in Arusha, you may decide to extend you stay to the Spice Island of Zanzibar where you will relax on the beautiful beach for couple of days, then fly back home.
